EX-ACTION! – Demo 2026 K7

Here's a demo that takes us straight back to the early eighties, to that British punk scene which knew exactly how to combine abrasive guitars, urgency and catchy melodies. With EX-ACTION!, it's hard not to think of THE VIOLATORS, THE EXPELLED or early VICE SQUAD. Three bands that, among other things, shared a female vocalist at the forefront without making any attempt to soften their music. Needless to say, this is exactly the sort of territory I enjoy.

Of course, EX-ACTION! aren't reinventing anything, but that's hardly the point. What matters is recapturing the spirit of early-eighties British punk, when bands could be melodic, angry and instantly recognisable all at once. If THE VIOLATORS, THE EXPELLED and VICE SQUAD mean anything to you, this demo certainly deserves your attention. Personally, I'll always take this sort of punk over many modern productions that seem to have forgotten what made their predecessors so appealing.
